Welcome to Gizmo Recording Company

Gizmo Recording Company is an all digital, full service recording studio, specializing in Jazz, Blues, Rock, Folk, Classical, World Music, Country, Bluegrass, and acoustic music styles. Nestled in the rolling hills of Silver Spring, Maryland, Gizmo Recording Company has been honored to serve the musical community of the Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia music scene for nearly 25 years.

Gantt Kushner,
studio owner and Chief Engineer, has over 40 years experience as a professional musician, playing guitar with many regional and national artists, and 25 years of experience engineering and producing in the studio. Whether Gantt is tracking, editing, mixing or playing guitar or bass, he loves to help clients make the most of their projects. Our goal at Gizmo Recording Company is to create a relaxed and inspiring environment in which to create music.  Gantt also loves mixing projects recorded at other studios, creating songwriter demo recordings, producing and consulting about design and construction of home studios and doing anything he can to help other musicians create and promote their music.
